Green Pizza
One of my favorite summer time meals is pizza made on the grill. I make dough in a food processor (recipe below) and then stretch it out roughly into a pizza shape. I throw it on the grill for just a minute or two, and then I flip it. Watch it carefully, we don’t want the bottom to burn. Once it is flipped, I add all the toppings that I want. Last week we suggested a pesto recipe that would make a fantastic base for this pizza. Then with this week’s CSA, I would recommend throwing any greens on including broccoli, kale and bok choy. Add olive oil, balsamic vinegar and walnuts for a good balance of sweet and savory. This pizza is quick and easy to make. The only time consuming bit is making the dough in advance. I hope you all enjoy making grilled pizza or something special with your loved ones this week.
  1. Pour water and yeast into food processor and let sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, salt, oil, and 1/2 cup of flour. Combine ingredients.
  3. Turn on food processor. Add remaining flour through feed tube. When the dough comes together and forms a ball on top of the blade, let whir for another minute. Then turn it out onto lightly floured surface. Smooth edges by hand and then transfer to oiled bowl, turn dough over so it is coated in oil on all sides.
  4. Cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place for 45 minutes
