Crops in the box:
- slicing tomatoes
- mini tomatoes
- purple beans
- eggplant
- melons
- peppers – bells, Italian frying, Hungarian wax
- fennel
- spaghetti squash
- kale
- cukes or squash (farmer’s choice)
- cabbage – full shares
- lettuce or apples – full shares
Farmer notes:
- No, it is not a Flex Share week
- Eat your mini tomatoes as soon as you can as their shelf life is not long
- We are slowly moving into fall-like crops with winter squash, potatoes, hot peppers, apples etc. in more of the boxes
- Spring cabbages and the basil are finished now for the season
- One more summer lettuce, buttercrunch, and then back to the romaine
- The Italian eggplant is finally waking up in the field
- Let us know if you would like some hotter peppers for sauce or smoking/powder(jalapeno, habanero, cayenne)
