- we received a welcomed 1.5″ of rain last night after several weeks without any
- early planting of summer squash/zucchini(much like the cucumbers) is really struggling after the wet spring
- eggplant is also great mixed into a filling for peppers, in casseroles etc. – or sliced and baked/grilled golden brown
- apples for full shares are a little small and gnarly but tasty, especially in salads or in a dessert
- tomatoes are beginning to come on the vine – several weeks yet to ripen
- our 2nd cuke planting should be ready to harvest next week
- try to return the green pulp containers if possible unless they are badly soiled
- enjoy the summer while it lasts!
