“One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.”
~ William Shakespear
Crop list:
- Romaine lettuce
- Bok choy
- Kale
- Cauliflower
- Savory
- Collard greens
- Kohlrabi
- Asparagus – full shares, flex shares
Farmer notes:
- YES, today is a bi-weekly Flex Share delivery
- The past month has been cool and dry. Brassicas have enjoyed these days, hot weather crops like tomatoes, melons and squashes have been slow to take off. On Sunday night we received a nice 2 inch soaking rain … and now comes some humidity and heat. The tables have turned.
- Enjoy some salads or stir fries
- Cauliflower in the oven with plenty of oil is the bomb
- Kohlrabi is normally peeled and cut up and enjoyed like a carrot – juicy/crunchy/sweet and refreshing
- Next week the garlic scapes and broccoli should be good to go
- Return our boxes/ice packs and always wash your produce
Thanks and have a great weekend
