- Apples are Enterprise or Honeycrisp – try baking them with some cinnamon/butter/sugar
- Winter squash is an heirloom acorn (Thelma Sanders) or spaghetti
- Oregano can be used with meats, eggs, sauces, soups, breads, as herb butter, pesto, in tea – or dried
- Ground cherries (husk cherries) for full shares are a full tasty snack
- Llast of the melons – the lack of rain was a plus for these guys
- All tomatoes and summer squash are at their season’s end
- Lots of peppers – smoke or roast them and freeze for winter dishes
