Farmer notes:
- NOT a flex week
- Boxes are getting heavy – please put one hand under the box if you are carrying it
- Melons have a crisp texture that is only slightly sweet
- Make a potato or cucumber salad with some dill and onion
- Cooked corn cut off of the cobb with onion and diced tomatoes and seasoned as a salsa
- Our weather has been – humid and hot > rain > cold front that ushers in smoky skies/constant dew … repeat. This has not been great for crops like peppers, eggplant and tomatoes which are maturing behind schedule
- This marks the halfway point in our summer CSA deliveries – we hope that you are enjoying it!
- Please wash all of your produce and return our boxes, ice packs, and clean pulp containers
